One of the things that makes me feel proud and grateful about Pravan is the number of people we have helped through our preventative primary care approach. When we founded Pravan, we wanted it to focus on prevention since most physicians and clinics practice reactive medicine nowadays. By reactive, I mean that people only go to the doctor when they feel something is wrong, and unfortunately, it could be too late.

Over the last few years we have seen a growing trend of people moving to Puerto Rico from the mainland looking for warmer weather and lower taxes. A few years ago the Puerto Rico government implemented several tax incentive decrees collectively known as [Act 60](http://puertoricotaxincentives.com/act-22-individual-investors-act/), to incentive investors, business leaders and successful entrepreneurs to move to the island with their families and generate economic activity. After being in effect for a few years, there are thousands of individuals who are now Puerto Rico residents benefiting from the tax decrees.

It’s no secret that there’s been an influx of people moving to Puerto Rico from the mainland looking for warmer weather and lower taxes. The Puerto Rican government’s implementation of several tax decrees collectively known as Act 60, to incentivize investors, business leaders and successful entrepreneurs to move to the island with their families and generate economic activity, has had a very real impact on our island.
With so many people moving here - and with the healthcare system becoming a major concern, there’s been a growing demand for certain needs to be met.
